New JOB!

I recently got a new job, and it is so exciting! It's a perfect blend of exactly what I want to do: Human Resources Assistant/Client Relationship Manager. I'll be working for Pioneer Trust Bank, N.A. This bank is historical to its location and participates within its community. My family has banked with this company for many years, so naturally I know how respected its presence is in its town. A Trust bank is very different that my experiences with Bank of America. It is actually pretty neat how it all works, and aside form the trust department it offers a full range of banking products. I am thrilled to have this opportunity, as it was not a breeze to come by. Leaving my girls at BofA was so hard and I hope to stay in touch with them. I loved working with these ladies!
What a cake!!

Ab, Val, and Ab :)

Kristina too! Love the girls!

On my last day at work everyone wore pink in honor of my favorite color, and my cube was decorated so cute! The best part was they got me a DQ blizzard cake: Cookie Jar! My absolute favorite. How sweet it was for them to do this..... I got an adorable Pug salt and pepper shaker, and my bosses both gave me sweet going away gifts. I felt so special and appreciated! We even had a potluck with enchiladas, and sparkling cider! I guess I should go away more often because it was a GREAT day at work!!!

Sushi and Strollers!

Today was a big day for my little black baby Babs. To some it may seem not only unnecessary, but somewhat bizarre... but I have taken the plunge and ordered 'Boo Boo' her very own stroller. Not a stroller for an ordinary child (which she is no ordinary family member to say the least), but a three wheeled, lime green dog stroller to push around her fat little rolls in the summer heat. Babs is of the dark ethnicity, so she heats up faster than a tea kettle in the summer sun. This poses issues for when we want to do outdoor activities, her being involved. She poops out mid walk and army crawls with her little legs into a shaded grassy area, and it is the saddest thing to whiteness. My solution is to have an umbrella for shade, perhaps a red wagon to pull her in, or if we are going that far why not a pet stroller! In about a week we will have this new contraption to try out and see how is works for little Babs. It came in leopard print but I couldn't do that to my poor husband. It would be too embarrassing for him...

In honor of George's 29th birthday, we went out to sushi which we never have done. Mostly because I am picky about weird fish and uncooked meats, as well as weary of new strange foods. Well I gave in (it was actually my idea) and surprisingly I liked it! I've never strayed far from an occasional California Roll.... so this was a monumental experience. I am not sure what types of fish I ate, there were eggs involved. I told George out of sight out of mind, it tasted okay and that was alright with me. George paved the way to the soy sauce and chop sticks. One bottle of wine later and a small order of delicious tempura and were on our way to a relaxing night. Happy birthday to my amazing husband! He is so wonderful and deserves every slice of the lemon cake in the fridge at home (compliments of Lamb's).
